The Scots celebrate their most famous poet, Robbie Burns (1759-1796) around his birthday in late January. A "Burns Supper" includes haggis, mashed turnips and trifle for dessert. Traditional is reading Burns poetry, folk dancing or tasting Scotch Whisky. I have put together British-themed Burns Night gift packs which can work as prizes or hostess gifts. I also have the Burns booklet on the poet with two poems translated into today's English.
