Easter is coming the first Sunday in April. I will be at West End Market that morning, April 5th, with Easter cards, new framed paintings, hats and more.
Ironically, one of my new paintings is actually an autumn painting with leaves. Oh well. I love painting leaves. This one is gouache watercolor, just finished. I got a really nice wooden frame for it. The larger leaf is the same size of the actual leaf! We found it at Tuckahoe State Park in Maryland a few years ago, during an after-Thanksgiving hike. I've kept it ever since and finally have done some paintings of it.
My other new painting has poetic wording painted in which is part of the art. My new jelly-gouache set has fantastic vibrant colors, so I was trying out color combinations, brushed and sponged. I think it looks like a wild universe. It is painted on thick paper, signed and newly framed.
