The first block of King Street, by the Potomac River now hosts our Maker's Pop-Up. Every Saturday and Sunday until the end of October, you will find local vendors between Mai Thai, Vola's, and the art space fronting the river. It is a lively scene with street performers and visitors from all over the world. We planned to open May 11th, but high tide hit at noon that day. Four inches of water covered the street up to Union Street! No point in setting up a tent in that. Instead, I was at Del Ray's Spring Market outside Del Ray Artisans at Mt. Vernon and Commonwealth Avenues. We had a great day with many Mother's Day shoppers.
On May 19th I was at King Street's first Makers Pop-Up. We had great weather and were open from 10am to 4pm. My new sun hats in every color were popular. See my pictures below.
