I learned screen printing at University, for my major, Painting and Printmaking. Later I wanted to sell shirts in my Shop, and realized I would have to make them myself! So I got the gear and returned to screen printing. Liquid ink is used, whereas these days most shirts are iron-ons, with the art created on a computer. My designs are drawn out by hand, and I make the screen, a lengthy process. Because it's liquid ink, I can blend colors right on the screen as I'm printing. Each shirt turns out a little differently.
My latest Alexandria long-sleeved shirts turned out nice, in multi-color ink. Blending white, yellow and blue ink.
I will have my new shirts at Gustave Art and Crafts market in Del Ray this Saturday, Oct. 10th! See below for info.
