Printed Proof of New Book: A Scottish Migration to Alexandria

I have received my printed proof of my new book, "A Scottish Migration to Alexandria"! So here are some photos of the book. As soon as I proof this, it will be printed and shipped. I will be able to mail copies of the book around October 20th. The book is full of color and black and white images, maps, sketches and current photography of the places where my subject, William Gregory lived and influenced. A Scottish Migration to Alexandria is getting ready to go to press! I am offering $2 off each book. These Pre-Sale orders will be helpful with figuring out the print run. Scottish Book Published This Fall

They say the acknowledgements page is the most widely read section in any book. I have just finished my two pages of acknowledgements, as I have so many people to thank, who have sent me things, donated to the project, answered my calls, and given me interviews.   I am surprised to see that this is not a large book, only about 80 pages with images. Surprised because of the amount of work that went into it. I sometimes joke that every sentence has an entire book of reading behind it. That's not entirely true, but in some cases it's...

New Screen Printing at Yellow Dot

My latest screen-printed design was made from a photo that I took earlier this year. I stood in the middle of King Street on a snowy morning, with a view towards Alexandria's Masonic Memorial. I separated the photo into 2 colors, and added a 3rd color for the word, Alexandria. It took several weeks to make the 3 screens and print 3 colors on the shirts.
