Art Show Open House & Scottish Dinner at Sonoma Cellar

Yellow Dot Shop is having an Art Show Open House in its Shop in Del Ray! Please join us on Friday, January 28th from 5 to 8pm. All are invited for a bit of free wine and munchies.   We are showing art by four artists. My old friend Ingrid Matuszewski will have two of her smaller 6 inch square paintings on display, framed in elegant white frames. Yellow Dot Moved Indoors!

I have exciting news! The Shop has moved into a retail space in the Del Ray section of Alexandria, on the main shopping street, Mt. Vernon Avenue. The front room has the Shop with books, posters, jewelry, greeting cards and t-shirts on display. I am installing an art-hanging system for framed art. The plan is to have Friday happy hour art events to showcase a chosen artist's work. The back room is being used as production space for the Shop, wrapping cards, sewing purses, and screen printing t-shirts, bags and art.   The move happened in early December, just in...

Printed Proof of New Book: A Scottish Migration to Alexandria

I have received my printed proof of my new book, "A Scottish Migration to Alexandria"! So here are some photos of the book. As soon as I proof this, it will be printed and shipped. I will be able to mail copies of the book around October 20th. The book is full of color and black and white images, maps, sketches and current photography of the places where my subject, William Gregory lived and influenced. Paintings of William and his family members are included as well.
