Hello from Ellen at Yellow Dot Shop, Now that we are past February, I am back at Old Town North Market on Sundays! My first day back was glorious, and I sold some of my new women's long sleeve shirts with my new design, and also my new t-shirts and bags. Welcome to my first newsletter for 2024! You have not heard from me this year, as I have been taking it easy and avoiding outdoor markets. Thanks to all my wonderful customers and clients, Yellow Dot managed a modest profit in 2023. That went well with my plan for January, which was to put the quiet time to use, and have a break. Customers are exhausted from holiday shopping and generally stay home, so I planned a ski trip! AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS Hello from Ellen! This December has been all events and last minute projects for the holiday markets. I have my new warm cotton scarves in new fabrics this year. They're all just over 5 feet long, to wrap and tie easily. Super soft brushed cotton. You can see above my new ornaments, and original screen printed art. I have new sweatshirts in four colors. And only one hat left, made from the Harris Tweed which I picked up in Scotland not long back. We have quite the event this weekend at Del Ray Artisans! Hope to see...

FALL for sweatshirts Hello from Ellen! For my autumn sweatshirts, I tried a new method using leaves and flowers from the garden to create a winking smiley face. These are hand printed in fall colors, using mixed metallic and white inks to show well on the dark fabric. The shirts have been pre-shrunk and are machine washable. See them here. Art on the Avenue - Saturday October 7thNew books by Local AuthorsCaps and Hats Art on the Avenue is Oct. 7th Come out to Del Ray's big arts and crafts event in Alexandria!
