June 2024 News Shop on King Street Printing on Tie-Died Shirts   A New Shop   My items have found a new place, at Imagine Artwear in Old Town Alexandria! Carol's shop sells gorgeous American-made tops and frocks, silk scarves, lovely gifts, elegant jackets. Each garment is like an artwork! But she gets visitors and tourists from the hotels who sometimes want an Alexandria t-shirt. So we are giving some of my items a try. Markets Open in April West End Farmer's Market is open in Ben Brenman Park in the Cameron Station neighborhood of Alexandria. April 7th was our first day back. We had chilly but sunny weather, and everyone was back and out walking.     I spent some of cold, rainy March painting my new cotton baseball caps. Hello from Ellen at Yellow Dot Shop, Now that we are past February, I am back at Old Town North Market on Sundays! My first day back was glorious, and I sold some of my new women's long sleeve shirts with my new design, and also my new t-shirts and bags. Recently, I met with Dr. Alfred Taylor in Arlington to get some of his books to put in Yellow Dot Shop. Festive February

Welcome to my first newsletter for 2024! You have not heard from me this year, as I have been taking it easy and avoiding outdoor markets.   Thanks to all my wonderful customers and clients, Yellow Dot managed a modest profit in 2023. That went well with my plan for January, which was to put the quiet time to use, and have a break. Customers are exhausted from holiday shopping and generally stay home, so I planned a ski trip!
